Run Around Vienna supporting sowieso!

Start: Nov 4, 2023 - 5:30am

LIVE INFORMATION ON RACE DAY

Thanks to your support over the past years, sowieso! continues to grow with much enthusiasm. The established workshops can now be offered twice as often. With the "LABOR", a new inclusive encounter workshop was developed and there are many other ideas still to come.

I would like to help that this great commitment of the team around sowieso! continues to receive the necessary financial support and for this I need your help again!

No matter if it will be cold, foggy, rainy, icy, snowy or dark: starting November 4, 5:30am, I will run a large loop around Vienna - in Viennese called "rundumadum". At this official event, 130 kilometers (81 miles), 1,880 meters (6,200 feet) of positive altitude and and about half of the distance away from asphalt await me. The time limit for a successful finish is a maximum of 24 hours.

I would be very happy if you could convert my completed running kilometers at the “Wien Rundumadum” (Run Around Vienna) into money to support sowieso!.

To do this, select either a fixed donation amount in the form below to support sowieso!
... or make it exciting and donate for every kilometer and minutes that I am at the finish line faster than the 24-hour time limit!

Doubling of donations: my employer Macquarie has established the Macquarie Group Foundation which - besides of other activities - supports fundraising activities of its employees. This means, each Euro you donate for "Wien Rundumadum - Run Around Vienna", Macquarie Group Foundation will also pay one additional Euro to sowieso!. So, for my motivation: each meter I run counts twice!

I hope, you are as excited about this charity in favour of sowieso! as I am and give a lot of (financial) support!

And for those not yet familiar with sowieso!: what does sowieso! actually do?

sowieso! – that is painting, handicrafting, building, making music, playing, exploring, discovering and being creative together!

In the Vienna based "ZOOM museum for children" and "Dschungel Vienna", sowieso! provides monthly art and movement workshops for children with disabilities aged 3 years plus. It's unique in attaching one companion to each child, putting a dialogic structure in place . Therefore, the focus is on each child's individual needs. As the socio-economic situation should not be a factor for children to participate, sowieso! art workshops are provided for free.

In this video, Leonie's father perfectly summarizes what it's all about: „In former times, children were provided with less activities which led to children being less capable of things. This triggered the perception of these children being less qualified for a lot of things. ... It's the most wonderful experience to see what our children are capable of and which variety of activities they can follow!" . Let us help to provide many more parents and children this experience. sowieso! and their management committee, with whom I'm personally in contact, are thankfully grateful for our help!
